Chief Ikenna Okafor Plans to Increase CIO Golf Classic Prize Purse to N100m in Port Harcourt

Chief Ikenna Okafor, chairman of Keev Global Leas, intends to raise the prize purse for the CIO Golf Classic in Port Harcourt to N100 million by 2026. The tournament attracts professional golfers from over 14 countries in Africa and beyond, with the recent edition offering a prize purse of N75 million.

Okafor envisions the tournament becoming a top choice for golfers, especially those participating in the Safari Tour in Kenya, with a long-term goal of reaching a $1 million prize purse within the next decade. The event has garnered attention and support from notable figures like River State Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
