Okey Bakassi Denies Divorce Rumors, Celebrates 25 Years

Nigerian comedian and actor Okey Bakassi, born Okechukwu Anthony Onyegbule, publicly addressed rumors regarding his marriage after a fabricated post circulated on X (formerly Twitter). The post falsely claimed that Bakassi was in distress over his wife demanding a divorce after 15 years of caring for her and their children, and incorrectly stated that his wife works as a nurse.

On October 12, Bakassi took to his social media to refute these claims, describing them as disturbing and disrespectful. He emphasized that his marriage is not in crisis and that he and his wife recently celebrated their 25th anniversary in Canada.

Bakassi dismissed the allegations about his wife's profession and location as entirely false. He also called on the public to report the account responsible for the misleading post, asserting that it violated the platform's rules.

He concluded his statement by affirming that his family remains intact and is in God's hands.
