Amusan to Receive N30m Reward for Silver Medal at World Championships

President of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN), Chief Tonobok Okowa, reaffirmed that Tobi Amusan will receive a cash reward of N30 million from kit supplier HiRacer for winning a silver medal at the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan. Amusan, a Nigerian athlete, was promised the reward as part of a sportswear contract with AFN.

The clarification came after initial concerns about the kit sponsorship deal. Okowa emphasized that the issue was a misunderstanding and that Amusan's reward is secured, highlighting her importance as a world-class athlete for Nigeria.
