Okoye Named in Serie A Team of the Week, Eyes Eagles Return

26-year-old goalkeeper Okoye has earned a spot in the Serie A Team of the Week for Gameweek 32 after his impressive performance that helped Udinese secure a 3-0 victory over AC Milan, achieving a clean sheet. This recognition places him among notable players from various clubs, including his teammate Jurgen Ekkelenkamp.

Okoye has recorded eight clean sheets in 24 Serie A appearances this season and achieved three consecutive shutouts for the first time since joining Udinese in 2023. His recent form coincides with his absence from Nigeria's squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations due to a thigh injury sustained during the March international window.
