Okpebholo Flays Slow Pace of Work on Benin-Sapele Road

Edo State Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo expressed concern over the slow pace of work on the Benin-Sapele road rehabilitation project. Despite financial mobilization, the governor was dissatisfied with the progress and vowed to ensure the project is completed on schedule.

He summoned the contractor responsible for the section funded by the state government to explain the delays or face sanctions. Governor Okpebholo personally inspected a 20-kilometer stretch of the road and acknowledged the collaboration between the state and federal governments in addressing the road's needs.

He also visited several junctions and communities along the road that had been neglected by previous administrations. The governor emphasized the importance of proper drainage design to prevent flooding and ensure the road's durability.

He promised to make necessary adjustments and speed up the project to alleviate the suffering of the people in the area and boost economic activity.
