President Bola Tinubu has extended the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project to Edo State, aiming to address the backlog of road and bridge projects. Umahi commended Tinubu's efforts to improve infrastructure and mentioned the termination of a contract due to poor performance.

Governor Okpebholo initiated the rehabilitation of a 23-kilometer section of the road, emphasizing the need for quality work. The intervention aims to enhance road infrastructure and alleviate the suffering of commuters.
