Nigerian Government Criticized for Inaction on Terrorism

Olawepo-Hashim noted that over 200 people were killed in Woro in one week and 300 in Taraba, emphasizing the alarming rate of violence. He pointed out that terrorist groups are collecting taxes in states like Sokoto and Zamfara, undermining Nigeria's sovereignty.

He argued that the government has not taken decisive action against terrorism, failing to conduct offensive operations or destroy terrorist camps. He called for immediate mechanisms to combat terrorism and suggested that international cooperation is essential, as the current situation has eroded Nigeria's sovereignty.

He criticized the government's lack of urgency in addressing these issues, urging that the matter should be prioritized in national and international discourse.
