Bwala: Nigeria's Insecurity Not Worsening Despite Challenges

Bwala, speaking in London, stated that insecurity in Nigeria is not worsening, despite recent terrorist activities, including the abduction of 100 women and children in Borno State by suspected Boko Haram and ISWAP militants. He emphasized that the Nigerian government has made significant efforts to address the situation, particularly during the first two years of the current administration, which experienced relative peace.

Bwala criticized Western media for portraying Nigeria negatively, arguing that no country is entirely free from insecurity. He noted the government's initiatives, such as the Safe School Initiative, aimed at relocating students from insecure areas to ensure access to education.

Bwala acknowledged the economic crisis linked to kidnapping but maintained that the government is working diligently to confront these challenges. He referenced the arrest of Boko Haram leader Lakurawa and the recognition of Nigeria's efforts by the U.S.
