Olu Jacobs' Community Engagement Remembered by Sir Jarus

Sir Jarus, a former neighbor of the late actor Olu Jacobs, recounted a significant encounter on X following Jacobs' passing. Around 2010, Jarus approached Jacobs' gate unannounced in their shared estate in Langbasa to discuss the poor condition of the Addo-Langbasa road and how residents could urge the government for repairs.

Despite the lack of a prior appointment, Jacobs welcomed Jarus and agreed to the discussion, with the sole condition that no photographs or videos be taken. This interaction showcased Jacobs' willingness to engage with ordinary community members.

The road was eventually repaired a year or two later under the administration of then Governor Babatunde Fashola. While Jarus did not credit Jacobs solely for the road's repair, the encounter left a profound impact on him, illustrating Jacobs' quiet influence in the community.
