Olu of Warri's Wife Affirms His Stance Against Polygamy

Ivie Atuwatse III, the wife of the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, stated that her husband will not change his position on polygamy, asserting that she does not expect him to take another wife. In a recent interview with BBC News Pidgin, Ivie expressed her confidence in her husband's commitment to their marriage, saying, “Firstly, His Majesty no go fit change him mind about polygamy.” She emphasized her sufficiency in the relationship, claiming, “Me alone, one me, I be like three women.” Ivie shared her pride in her husband's achievements and the joy she feels when others celebrate him.
