Oluremi Tinubu empowers 1,000 women, inaugurates industrial leather hub in Lagos

Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady of Lagos, empowered 1,000 women and inaugurated an industrial leather hub in Mushin. At the Renewed Hope Initiative Empowerment Programme, themed "Empowering Women for SDGs Acceleration," she praised Governor Babajide for supporting the program, which included distributing 500 empowerment items to women in Lagos.

The initiative aims to empower women across Nigeria and aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of economic growth and sustainable development. The program distributed items like gas cookers, grinding machines, and generators to equip women for successful businesses.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals emphasized the importance of financially empowering women to improve family welfare and accelerate national growth. The industrial leather hub in Matori, Mushin, is projected to generate export earnings of over 250 million annually and create jobs for women and youth in Lagos.
