Outrage Over Oluyede's Lenient Terrorist Treatment Proposal

This statement was made during a lecture in Abuja, where Oluyede compared the situation to a prodigal son who squanders his inheritance but is welcomed back home.

He argued that allowing terrorists to repent aligns with moral and constitutional values, referencing biblical forgiveness. Critics, however, contend that this approach blurs the moral and legal boundaries necessary for effective security responses.

They argue that the Nigerian government has not adequately protected its citizens, and such leniency could encourage further violence.
