OML 34 Stakeholders Trained on PIA Implementation for Peace and Development

The Niger Delta Region Center for Peace and Environment Justice (CEPEJ) organized a workshop in Delta State's Udu Local Government Area to enhance stakeholders' understanding of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) for conflict resolution in OML 34. The training aimed to build trust and cooperation among host communities and oil and gas operators.

Comrade Sheriff Mulad emphasized the importance of proper interpretation and diligent implementation of the PIA for the benefit of host communities. The event highlighted the need for host communities to be fully aware of the PIA's provisions enacted on August 16, 2021.
