Amotekun Corps arrests 301 suspects in Ondo State

The Ondo State Security Network Agency, also known as the Amotekun Corps, reported the arrest of 301 suspects across the state's 18 local government areas between August and October 2026. State Commander Adetunji Adeleye disclosed this information during a parade of suspects at the corps' headquarters in Akure.
He stated that some suspects have been charged to court, while others are serving jail terms or have met conditions for fines. The corps resolved 102 cases through alternative dispute resolution.
Adeleye announced the formation of a new squad called Operation Laafia DanDan, aimed at training personnel statewide, which will be launched by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa. Among the 15 suspects paraded, nine were arrested for alleged kidnapping, four for anti-grazing violations, and two for breaches of law and order.
The commander highlighted the apprehension of three kidnappers involved in the abduction of a poultry farmer and the killing of a woman.
