Ondo Businessman Found Dead in Office Amid Personal Struggles

On October 29, 2026, a 46-year-old businessman was discovered dead in his office beside BOVAS Petrol Station in Igba town, Ondo State. His death occurred hours after he released an emotional video addressing his business difficulties, marital issues, and intentions to pass on his properties to his family.

The Ondo State Police Command, led by Police Public Relations Officer DSP Abayomi Jimoh, initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death. Police operatives from Bolorunduro Division responded to reports from the public and found two empty bottles suspected to have contained Sniper insecticide in a nearby bush.

No visible signs of violence were noted on the deceased's body, which has been sent to the State Hospital Morgue for preservation and further examination. Commissioner of Police Felix Ohagwu has called for a thorough investigation and advised the public against speculation regarding the incident.
