Akingunola Advocates for Effective Representation in Ondo

Mr. Niyi Akingunola, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for the Ondo East and Ondo West federal constituencies, has identified ineffective representation as a significant challenge facing Ondo State.

Speaking in Ondo Town on Friday, Akingunola emphasized the need for credible and competent individuals to represent the people in the upcoming 2027 National Assembly elections. He criticized the current political landscape for focusing on superficial appearances rather than lobbying for policies that directly improve constituents' lives.

Akingunola highlighted the enormous human and economic potential of the federal constituencies and called for visionary leadership and strategic partnerships to engage grassroots communities. He expressed a commitment to empowering young people through skill acquisition, technology, entrepreneurship, job creation, and improving access to quality education and healthcare.

Mr. Victor Adetolaju, director of the Civic Engagement Ominira Movement support group, described Akingunola as a grassroots politician who understands the needs of the people, emphasizing the importance of redefining representation in the forthcoming elections.
