Ondo State Government Recruits Over 6,000 Workers

The Ondo State Government has successfully recruited more than 6,000 workers across critical sectors in the last 18 months, as announced by Chief Press Secretary Ebenezer Adeniyan during a media briefing in Akure. This recruitment drive is part of Gov.

Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s OUR EASE Agenda, aimed at strengthening the economy and reducing unemployment. The new recruits are primarily in education, healthcare, security, and agriculture, addressing significant manpower shortages.

Adeniyan stated that this administration has created more direct employment opportunities than any previous government in Ondo State. Additionally, the government has implemented skills acquisition programs, including the O’Datiwa Skill-Up a Woman Initiative, which trained 1,000 women in various vocational skills.

The administration has also provided interest-free loans and grants to market women and small business owners through the Ondo Ease Fund. Furthermore, salaries are now paid on or before the 25th of each month, and pensioners receive their entitlements alongside active workers.
