Suspected Mentally Ill Relative Kills Three Siblings in Ondo

In Okitipupa, Ondo State, a suspected mentally ill relative reportedly killed three siblings in a violent domestic attack. The assailant, identified as a male relative, allegedly used a machete to hack the victims to death inside their residence.

The incident has plunged the community into deep shock, particularly as the victims included a female student enrolled in a Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board program and two young boys. Preliminary accounts suggest that the suspect, believed to be mentally unstable, carried out the attack earlier in the day and subsequently fled the scene.

The family head, identified as Baba Agbay, had left home with his wife and youngest child to an oil farm, returning to find the tragic aftermath. The victims were deposited at a specialist hospital, and authorities are expected to commence a full investigation into the incident.
