Ondo State Celebrates 50 Years of Urbanization Progress

Ondo State is commemorating its 50th anniversary, reflecting on its evolution since becoming part of the Western Region in 1976. The celebration showcases the contributions of past leaders, including Commodore Olabode George and Chief Michael Ajasin, and current Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, who is optimistic about the state's future.

A budget allocation of 30 billion naira for 2026 aims to support smallholder farmers and improve access to credit. Additionally, the education sector is being enhanced through digital initiatives and the establishment of special science schools.
