Onuachu Breaks Scoring Record for Trabzonspor

Paul Onuachu, a striker for Trabzonspor, has credited his teammates for his remarkable scoring run, which has seen him score in eight consecutive games. In a recent match on Friday, he opened the scoring in the 20th minute during a 3-1 Super Lig victory against Fatih Karagümrük.

Fellow Nigerian Chibuik Nwaiwu contributed significantly, netting twice and receiving an assist from Onuachu for his second goal. Onuachu, who has scored 18 goals in 21 Super Lig appearances this season, has established a new club record for consecutive league games scored in, breaking the previous record of five held by current coach Fatih Tekke from the 2004-05 season.

His performance has positioned Trabzonspor third in the league, four points behind second-placed Fenerbahçe. Onuachu is also leading the Super Lig golden boot race and has attracted interest from Saudi Pro League club Al Ahli, reportedly willing to triple his current wage of approximately 48,000 per week, with his contract set to expire in 2028.
