Operation FANSAN YANMA Rescues 119 Kidnap Victims in Kaduna

Operation FANSAN YANMA, under the command of Captain Patrick Onoja Ali, conducted successful operations in Southern Kaduna, rescuing 119 kidnap victims and neutralizing bandits. The operation took place between January 28, 2024, and February 13, 2026, focusing on areas such as Kachia, Kajuru, Chikun, Kagarko, and Zangon Kataf.

Troops executed several clearance operations based on intelligence, destroying bandit camps and recovering stolen motorcycles. Notably, on February 5, 2024, 88 victims were rescued during a coordinated operation following a kidnapping incident in Kurmin Risga.

The victims were subsequently handed over to the Kaduna State government for reunification with their families. The operation also involved the arrest of four suspected bandits and aimed to maintain security in vulnerable communities, particularly against threats like cattle rustling and kidnappings.

The troops' presence and collaboration with local leaders have been crucial in gathering intelligence and ensuring community safety.
