Onitsha Shooting: OCHA Brigade Operatives Arrested After Fatal Incident

Following a shooting incident in Onitsha that claimed the lives of five people, including a pregnant woman, operatives of Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra State (OCHA Brigade) have been arrested. The incident occurred during an enforcement exercise at Main Market Onitsha, leading to panic among traders and customers.

The Anambra State Government condemned the unauthorized actions of the operatives, reaffirming its commitment to law and order. The Managing Director of OCHA Brigade clarified that the operation was not approved by the agency's leadership.

The arrested operatives have been handed over to the Police Department for further investigation.
