Osimhen Shares Bullying Experience with Iheanacho's Help

Victor Osimhen, currently sidelined with a fractured arm sustained during a match against Liverpool, shared a significant experience from his early days with the Super Eagles. He revealed that Kelechi Iheanacho, his roommate and a senior player, intervened when another senior player attempted to bully him.

Osimhen, who made his debut for the Super Eagles in 2016 during a dead rubber AFCON qualifier against South Africa, recalled how he was trying to find his footing in the team. Iheanacho, who was a regular at Manchester City before moving to Leicester City, stood up for Osimhen by confronting the senior player and ensuring that Osimhen was welcomed into the room.

This act of support helped Osimhen feel more comfortable in the Super Eagles camp. Since his debut, Osimhen has made 65 appearances and scored 32 goals for Nigeria and has been named vice-captain for the upcoming AFCON 2025.
