Galatasaray's Özbek Declares Osimhen Not for Sale

Dursun Özbek, the president of Galatasaray, stated during a live broadcast on HT Spor that Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is not for sale, despite interest from clubs such as Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Barcelona ahead of the summer transfer window. Özbek made it clear that the club has no intention of negotiating Osimhen's departure, labeling him an important player in their championship race. He highlighted Osimhen's significant role in the club's identity and fanbase, noting that he joined Galatasaray permanently from Napoli last summer for a deal worth €75 million. Özbek also mentioned that he personally financed €35 million of this transfer.

Osimhen has had an impressive season, scoring 22 goals and contributing eight assists in 33 appearances, helping the club retain the Super Lig title and reach the UEFA Champions League Round of 16. Despite reports of Osimhen's representatives exploring potential moves, Özbek remains firm on his stance regarding the striker's future.
