Osimhen Wary of Liverpool in UCL Last 16 Draw

Victor Osimhen, the Nigerian striker, indicated his preference to avoid a clash with Liverpool FC in the UEFA Champions League last 16 draw. He acknowledged the formidable nature of Liverpool, stating that any match against them would not be easy and would require significant effort.

Osimhen's comments came after he played a crucial role in Galatasaray's advancement to the knockout phase, where they secured a 7-5 aggregate victory over Juventus. In a dramatic match, Galatasaray initially led 5-2 in the first leg but was pegged back to 5-5, forcing extra time.

Osimhen scored the decisive goal in extra time, bringing his total to seven goals in eight appearances this season, surpassing the previous club record held by Mario Jardel. He also became the first foreign player to lead Galatasaray in Champions League goals.

Osimhen received the Player of the Match honor for the fourth time this season.
