Osun APC Takes Control of Local Government Funds for Development

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared full control over local government funds, with APC-backed chairmen now in charge of council finances. Samuel Abiodun Idowu, the APC-led ALGON chairman, announced this development, emphasizing plans for visible changes and development programs to enhance living conditions in communities.

The move follows a Supreme Court judgment favoring the APC faction, granting them access to council accounts and administrative powers. Idowu commended President Bola Tinubu for championing local government autonomy.

The state is set to roll out development programs for grassroots development.
