INEC Reports 2.3M New Voter Registrations; Osun, Imo, Kano Lead State Numbers

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has disclosed a total of 2,316,232 new voter registrations nationwide, with Osun, Imo, and Kano states recording the highest numbers. The ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise, which began on August 18, 2025, and is set to end in August 2026, has shown significant variations across states.

Notably, Anambra State's voter registration is on hold until the governorship election on November 8, 2025. Lagos and the Federal Capital Territory closely follow the top three states in registration figures.

The data reflects a mix of high and low-performing states in voter mobilization efforts.
