Borno State Leads Nigeria in Online Voter Pre-Registration, INEC Reports Show Varied Participation Across States

Borno State has emerged as the top performer in Nigeria's online voter pre-registration exercise, with a total of 8,003,196 Nigerians completing the process. Following Borno, Osun, Lagos, Kebbi, and Kaduna recorded significant numbers of online pre-registrants.

The data released by INEC in week nine of the exercise also highlighted the varying levels of participation across different states, with some states like Enugu registering lower numbers. The overall voter registration process nationwide has seen over 1.7 million voters completing the exercise.

Anambra State's voter registration remains suspended until after the governorship elections in November 2025.
