Osun LGs' Withheld Funds Case Sees Further Adjournment in High Court

The case involving withheld funds of Osun State's 30 local government areas faced another adjournment in an Oyo State High Court presided over by Justice Ladiran Akintola. The court extended the order restraining United Bank Africa (UBA) Plc from releasing the funds, ensuring a fair hearing for all parties involved.

The matter, which had been adjourned to October 10, 2025, saw the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) filing an application to join the suit. The court ruled to continue the interim injunction, emphasizing the importance of fair hearing as per the Nigerian Constitution.
