APC Leaders Review Campaign Strategies Ahead of Poll

On Saturday, August 12, 2023, elders from the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) convened at the country home of former governor Bisi Akande in Ila Orangun to assess the party's preparations for the upcoming governorship election scheduled for August 15. The meeting, which included prominent figures like Senator Iyiola Omisore, focused on reviewing the party's campaign strategies and making suggestions to enhance their electoral prospects.

Ajibola Famurewa, the Director-General of the Omisore Campaign Organisation, confirmed that a photograph of Akande and Omisore taken after the meeting gained attention. Famurewa stated that the discussions were productive, addressing campaign challenges and proposing solutions.

The Independent National Electoral Commission has cleared 14 political parties, including the APC and the ruling Accord Party, to participate in the election.
