APC Mega Rally in Osogbo Supports Oyebamiji for Governor

On Thursday, the All Progressives Congress (APC) organized a mega rally in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State, to rally support for its governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, ahead of the gubernatorial election scheduled for August 15, 2026. The event, held at Freedom Park, attracted a significant crowd, including party leaders such as Senator Godswill Akpabio, who represented President Bola Tinubu.

Akpabio urged Osun residents to vote peacefully and assured them of adequate security measures to ensure a violence-free election. He emphasized that no voter would face harassment while exercising their franchise.

Senator Barau Jibrin, Deputy President of the Senate, highlighted challenges facing Osun State, calling for its inclusion in mainstream Nigerian politics. Former governor Chief Bisi Akande and former National Secretary Senator Christopher Iyiola Omisore also spoke, promoting party unity.

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq stated that the APC had the full backing of the Federal Government for this election. Oyebamiji promised to provide effective leadership and improve the welfare of the people if elected.
