INEC Begins Uploading Results for Osun Governorship Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has started uploading polling unit results from the Osun state governorship election held on Saturday. As of 4:03 PM, 402 out of the expected 3,763 results had been uploaded, representing 10.68% of the total.

The latest result was uploaded from Polling Unit 006, Registration Area 04, Ward 02. The IReV portal allows public access to these results, enhancing transparency in the electoral process.

Music star David Adeleke, known as Davido, expressed concerns over the delay in result uploads, urging INEC for timely updates. By 4:36 PM, the number of uploaded results increased to 753, accounting for 19.53% of the total.

The election features a three-way contest among incumbent governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Najeem Salaam of the African Democratic Congress (ADC). The official winner will be determined through INEC's collation process.
