Otu, Edu Mobilize 1.5M Votes for Tinubu in 2027

Bassey Otu, the Governor of Cross River State, convened a high-level stakeholder meeting in Calabar to strategize for the 2027 general elections, targeting 1.5 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The meeting included Betta Edu, the immediate past APC National Women Leader and current Minister, and members of the National Assembly.

Otu urged Tinubu to support the reclamation of Cross River's oil wells to restore the state’s full littoral status and enhance its oil production capabilities. The governor emphasized the need for grassroots mobilization and voter education to ensure maximum turnout in the upcoming elections.

Edu echoed this sentiment, calling for sustained engagement with the electorate and reaffirming the commitment of the APC to deliver on its promises. The meeting highlighted the importance of collaboration to boost infrastructure development and economic recovery in Cross River, with a focus on consolidating previous electoral gains and preventing past electoral failures.
