Otu, Edu Target 1.5M Votes for Tinubu in 2027 Elections

Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State, along with former APC National Women Leader Dr. Betta Edu and members of the National Assembly, convened a high-level meeting to strategize for the 2027 general elections.

Their goal is to mobilize no fewer than 1.5 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. During the meeting in Calabar, Otu urged Tinubu to support the reclamation of Cross River's oil wells and restore the state to its full littoral status.

He emphasized the need for federal government verification of existing technical reports to validate the state's claims regarding oil production. Otu reaffirmed the state's alignment with the President's policies and highlighted ongoing federal collaborations to enhance infrastructure development.

Dr. Betta Edu called for intensified grassroots mobilization and sustained voter education, urging the people of Cross River to maintain faith in Tinubu's administration.

The meeting concluded with a commitment from all stakeholders to ensure maximum voter turnout in support of Tinubu and Otu's second-term bid.
