Otu Returns from Diaspora Engagements, Say C’River’s on The Rise

Cross River State Governor Senator Bassey Otu has returned from a strategic engagement with Cross Riverians in the diaspora, declaring the state's upward trajectory. Otu emphasized the importance of strengthening synergy between citizens at home and abroad in a globalized world.

The governor highlighted the state's achievements in GDP growth, job creation, and improvements across key sectors such as health, education, agriculture, and infrastructure. Otu received the prestigious Mayor of Birmingham Award during his trip, reflecting the respect the state commands internationally.

The First Lady, Eyoanwan Bassey Otu, expressed hope for increased collaboration in areas such as education, healthcare, agriculture, and youth empowerment. Additionally, experts at a webinar called for the federal government to regulate community-based vigilance groups in the North Central region to prevent violence and prioritize peacebuilding efforts.
