Atiku's Aide Critiques Tinubu Over Economic Policies

Frank Shaibu, the senior special assistant to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, issued a statement in Abuja on Friday, criticizing President Bola Tinubu's administration in light of a World Bank report indicating a worsening poverty rate in Nigeria. Shaibu argued that the current economic hardship is not accidental but a direct outcome of poorly conceived and harshly implemented policies.

He cited the abrupt removal of fuel subsidies and the chaotic devaluation of the naira as key factors contributing to the economic decline. Shaibu emphasized that the administration's reliance on abstract macroeconomic indicators ignores the harsher realities faced by Nigerian citizens.
