Free Medical Outreach in Kano Benefits Over 1,500 Residents

The Women Leaders Support Advancement (WLSA) group organized a free medical outreach in Kano State, benefiting over 1,500 women and children. The outreach, held over two days at the Sharada Primary Healthcare Centre, attracted beneficiaries from 44 local government areas.

Services provided included free medical consultations, diagnostic tests, and referrals for serious conditions, alongside the distribution of food items and nutrient-rich supplies. Fauziya Buhari Ado, the national coordinator of WLSA, expressed gratitude to the Kano State government for its support, emphasizing the initiative's alignment with the state's healthcare agenda.

The outreach aimed to improve healthcare access for vulnerable populations, particularly women, children, and the elderly. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf, the Kano State Commissioner for Health, commended the initiative, highlighting its significance in addressing medical needs.

The event involved 64 medical personnel, including doctors and nurses, and was supported by various partners, including the Federal Ministry of Health and local organizations.
