Kano Governor Disburses N50,000 Grants to 6,680 Women

On a recent Saturday, Kano State Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf disbursed N50,000 empowerment grants to 6,680 women as part of a program aimed at supporting families and enhancing contributions to local trade. The disbursement ceremony was held at the government house in Kano and attended by thousands of women from 44 local government areas.

The initiative, which is part of the current administration's efforts to improve the living standards of less privileged women, has already shown significant positive impacts. Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation for the leadership of the state house assembly, particularly Speaker Jibril Ismail Falgor, and the chairmen of the 44 local government councils, for their roles in ensuring the program achieves its goals.

During the event, Speaker Falgor urged beneficiaries to utilize the funds responsibly, while representatives from various organizations commended the governor's commitment to human capital development.
