Human Rights Lawyer Alleges Over 50 Police Officers Violently Attacked Client During Rearrest

Deji Adeyanju, a human rights lawyer, has accused over 50 police officers of violently attacking his client, Sowore, during a recent protest organized for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Sowore, a human rights activist, was rearrested by the Nigerian police shortly after being granted bail by the Kuje Magistrate Court.

Adeyanju criticized the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, calling him "useless." The incident highlights concerns over police brutality and human rights violations in Nigeria.
