Nigerian Police Rearrest Activist Sowore Violently After Bail Ruling

Nigerian activist Sowore was rearrested by the police shortly after being granted bail by the Chief Magistrate Court in Kuje, Abuja. Sowore's lawyer, Tope Temokun, accused the police of descending violently on Sowore and attempting to abduct him without legal justification.

The police, led by CSP Iliyasu OC, disrupted the court proceedings and physically assaulted Sowore, causing injuries. Sowore's defense team, including Aloy Ejimakor, condemned the police's actions as a violation of human rights.
