Ekiti Governor Opens Ugel Hill Cave for Tourism Boost

On a recent date, Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji officially opened the Ugel Hill Cave in Iker Ekiti as a public tourist center. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to tap into the region's natural resources and enhance tourism revenue.

The cave, which features spacious relaxation rooms and historical significance, is expected to become a focal point for tourism in the area. During the opening ceremony, Oyebanji emphasized the government's commitment to developing tourism as a job creator and revenue earner.

He was joined by Deputy Governor Monisad Afuy and Wale Ojo Lanr, Director General of the Ekiti State Bureau of Tourism Development. The event also saw the participation of dignitaries, including Senator Babafemi Ojudu, who praised the cave's potential to benefit both the local community and the state.

The initiative aims to preserve cultural heritage and attract tourists, with plans for further development and infrastructure improvements to support this goal.
