Oyetola Celebrates Egharevba's 70th Birthday and Legacy

Adegboyega Oyetola, the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, issued a statement on Tuesday congratulating Elizabeth Aina Egharevba, the first female Executive Director of the Nigerian Port Authority (NPA), on her 70th birthday. Oyetola described this milestone as worthy of national recognition and commended Egharevba for her trailblazing career and dedicated service to the nation.

He highlighted her nearly three decades of service at the NPA, noting her professional competence and leadership, which have earned her widespread respect in Nigeria's maritime sector. Oyetola specifically mentioned Egharevba's historic appointment in November 2007 as Executive Director of Marine Operations, marking a turning point in promoting gender inclusivity within the maritime industry.

He recalled her tenure managing the RORO Port and Lagos Port Complex in Apapa, emphasizing her exceptional administrative expertise. Oyetola expressed hope that Egharevba's legacy would continue to inspire a new generation of women in maritime public service.
