NPA's Dantsoho Advocates for Women's Empowerment in Maritime

Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho, Managing Director of the Nigerian Port Authority (NPA), declared the importance of empowering women to drive transformation in Nigeria's maritime sector.

During a statement made available in Abuja on Thursday, he highlighted the need to dismantle institutional barriers and deepen gender inclusivity, particularly in light of the upcoming 2026 International Women's Day celebrations in Apapa, Lagos. Dantsoho emphasized that the NPA aims to move beyond mere recognition of women's contributions and actively engage them as key players in the agency's modernization agenda.
