Oyo Gov’t Distributes Tablets, Teaching Aids To 18,000 Teachers

Oyo State Governor Engr Seyi Makinde distributed tablets and teaching aids to 18,000 teachers in primary and junior secondary schools across the state. The program, aimed at empowering educators to impart quality knowledge to students, is part of the government's commitment to educational development.

The tablets, provided in collaboration with the World Bank and Universal Basic Education Board, are meant to keep teachers abreast of digital advancements in the sector. Governor Makinde emphasized the importance of training teachers to effectively use the tablets, ensuring they can access lesson plans and teach without the need for separate notes.

The initiative also includes a four-week training program for teachers at sixteen centers throughout the state. Teachers expressed gratitude for the support and pledged to make good use of the materials to enhance the education sector.
