Ekiti Governor Releases N596.6m Loans to School Workers for Cars and Housing

Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji has disbursed N596.6 million in car and housing loans to 807 teaching staff in public secondary schools. The Permanent Secretary of the Ekiti State Teaching Service Commission, Michael Boluwade, revealed that the aim is to enhance worker welfare and morale in the education sector.

The disbursement includes N214 million for car loans and N382.6 million for housing loans, with a 100% increase from previous approvals. Governor Oyebanji urged beneficiaries to use the funds appropriately, as repayments will be deducted from their salaries.

This initiative is part of efforts to improve worker welfare in Ekiti State.
