Plateau State Charges Five Suspects in Palm Sunday Attack

The Plateau State Government has initiated legal proceedings against five suspects arrested in connection with the Palm Sunday attack that took place in March 2026, which resulted in multiple fatalities. The suspects, identified as Isa Umar, Ibrahim Auwalu, Musa Auwalu, and Ibrahim Adamu, face charges related to criminal conspiracy and terrorism.

The fifth suspect, Isa Alhassan, is charged with criminal conspiracy, culpable homicide, illegal possession of firearms, and illegal dealing in arms and ammunition. The arrests were made by the Department of State Services (DSS) on April 3 and April 10, 2026.

The government aims to prosecute these individuals to address the violence that occurred during the attack in Angwa Rukuba, Jos North Local Government Area.
