Nigerian Governor’s Aide Kidnapped by Gunmen in Nasarawa State

Muhammed Egye Osolafia, a Senior Special Assistant for Humanitarian Services to Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule, was kidnapped by gunmen in Tudun Amba, Lafia. The incident occurred on Saturday night, with the gunmen shooting sporadically before abducting Osolafia.

This kidnapping adds to the rising trend of such incidents in the region, despite efforts by security forces to combat the issue. Governor Sule has previously warned against using influence to secure the release of suspected kidnappers.

This event follows a similar incident involving a top aide to Governor Francis Nwifuru in April. The police are actively involved in the investigation.
