PCN Seals 471 Premises in Edo State Over Pharmaceutical Breaches - Public Health Safety Ensured

The Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN) has sealed 471 pharmaceutical premises in Edo State for regulatory breaches. The enforcement exercise targeted illegal and substandard operations within the pharmaceutical sector to ensure public health safety.

The crackdown covered areas like Oredo, Ovia, Egor, and Uhunmwonde Local Government Areas. Out of the 743 premises inspected, 471 were sealed for offenses such as operating without valid licenses, unauthorized clinical activities, and mishandling controlled substances.

Additionally, one person was arrested for obstructing PCN officers during the operation. This action is part of PCN's ongoing efforts to sanitize medicine distribution in the state.
