Over 250 PDP and Accord Members Join APC in Oyo

Over 250 chieftains and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Accord defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State ahead of the 2027 general elections. The decampees were welcomed by the APC leadership, led by state Chairman and former Deputy Governor Chief Moses Alake Adeyemo, during a grand reception at Watershed, Old Ife Road, Ibadan.
Adeyemo assured the new members of proper reintegration and equal representation within the party. He stated that the people of Oyo State are dissatisfied with the current administration of the APM and seek change, asserting that APC is the party capable of delivering this change in 2027.
Senator Sharafadeen Alli, the APC governorship candidate, promised good governance and plans to address issues in education, health, security, and civil service reform. Hon Olamiposi Ojo and Hon Taoheed Ademola Lucky, who led the decampees, expressed confidence in APC's internal democracy and leadership under President Bola Tinubu.
