PDP Accuses Police and Wike Camp of State-Backed Aggression in Abuja Clash

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the Nigerian Police Force and supporters of Governor Wike of orchestrating 'state-backed aggression' during a violent clash at the party's secretariat in Abuja. The PDP alleged that its leaders were blocked from entering the secretariat, with reports of police personnel and thugs recruited to disrupt party activities.

The party condemned the use of tear gas and violence against its members, blaming the aggression on political interference and a threat to Nigeria's democracy. PDP also criticized President Bola Tinubu for allegedly enabling attacks on the party.

The PDP reaffirmed its commitment to defending democracy and restoring stability within the opposition.
